Fitting a bathtub in your bathroom can be a very daunting task especially when you do not have the right tools for the job. In most cases, this job is usually saved for a professional but you can do it on your own if you have the right tools.

In the instance that you decided to handle the project on your own then you need all the tools to make the task that much simple.  The electric is one tool which you cannot do without. This is because this is the tool which you will use to screw the side of the bathtub to the wall studs.

You can you the electric drill to make holes on the walls where you can either nail the side or screw. To fasten the screws then you can use a screwdriver to make sure that everything holds on tightly.

  1.    Carpenter level

This is another very important tool which you need to have in hand. The reason for this you have must have this tool is to make sure that you are working on a surface which perfectly horizontal or vertical.  The carpenter level has to be used before the project start and throughout the entire project.

At the start of the project, it should be used to ascertain if the area in which the bathtub is to be placed is even horizontally. Throughout the installation process, regular use of the carpenter level needs to be used to make sure vertical and horizontal alignment are painted.

  1.    Silicone Caulk

Silicone Caulk is the next thing you will need; this is the material that you will need to seal any kind of gap or crack that will be left between the floor and the bathtub.  Once you place your new bathtub on the floor there is always small gaps which remain in the adjoining areas.

You can choose some of the best caulking guns to fill in these gaps. This is to make sure no air gets in through these gaps. Caul can also be used in other areas like in the faucet where they can seal any gap.

  1.    Mortar Mix

This is another very important material that you will need in any kind of permanent construction. Mortar is the bonding of the material which will bond the bathtub with the floor. The most important thing to observe is how you mix the mortar in the right ratio for the best results.

Once you have the right mortar ratio then you can be assured that you will have the right consistency.
